Matthew Cirello loves to make art inspired by all the amazing life around him and loves the
sacred geometric patterns that come up in all life; this is the blueprint of life and the flower of life
being the foundation he uses to create his works. All his work will make you feel connected to
earth and show you how we are all connected as petals on this earth to create this pattern of life.

Matthew Cirello Grew up in San Diego, Moving away in the year 2000 to Humboldt State
University studying Art. He studied sculpture in foundry work casting bronze, aluminum,
and welding steel sculpture. In 2002 he took his first jewelry class with David Laplantz. Within
the first week of the class he fell in love with the tools and shop and making jewelry. He began to become obsessed and more passionate with this trade than any other
media he was working with.
Matthew entered his first piece in a juried show at the Reese Bullen Gallery in H.S.U. and
received the talisman award. Studying Jewelry for four years in Humboldt learning everything to
give him a strong skill set, he had gathered enough tools to set up a basic shop with the bare
minimum to make his trade and share his love and passion with those around him. In 2006 He
moved back home to live in the house he grew up in with his parents who were willing to help
him with his art career. Setting up his shop in the garage and working part time jobs and making
jewelry every day, he was determined to be a professional jewelry artist, In 2008 Matthew
Entered some pieces in the San Diego Mineral and Gem Society at the S.D. Fair – He received a
first and second place award.
In 2007 he joined Spanish Village Art Center and was invited into Studio 18 with the office
manager John Evans, he worked 3 -5 days per week for one year working with the village to plan big events like December Nights and Spring Festival. Working on his jewelry in the public eye and
selling his work gave Matthew Cirello a great experience of how to work with people of all kinds
and how to market his goods. Working with other artists and coordinating vendor
artists for special events became a passion to bring creative people together and create an
experience unforgettable. Matthew Cirello and Oil Painter Santos Orellanas had a studio in
Spanish Village as well, they both decided to move out and open their own gallery in North Park
in the Art and Culture district on Ray Street. They lasted about 7 months and learned very quickly
that their visions were much different.
Matthew became sole proprietor in April 2009; this transition moved the gallery into a work
studio gallery space featuring other artists. A spacious gallery with a metal smith jewelry studio
in the back for Cirello to create all his hand made one of a kind jewelry with silver, gold, copper,
brass, and all kinds of gem stones. At this same time Matthew Cirello and Jonathan Wheeler
began to create another line of jewelry based off the core inspiration pattern Matthew Cirello was
hand cutting since 2002. Jonathan Wheeler was laser cutting steel since 2002 and working with
CAD programming and technical engineering skills needed to develop this Cirello Stainless Steel product line. Utilizing the expertise of a professional jeweler and professional laser cutter, this
sustainable reclaimed stainless steel company was born to create the perfect storm of harmony
and grace that give not only balance but style and confidence that all life is searching for. Our
mission is to make people feel better by the works we put so much love into and to encourage a
healthy life style that promotes resourceful habits to make a better future for the next generation.
Sustainability and consistency to use the disregarded scraps and
turn them into valuable objects that reflect life. An object that is hand crafted with so much love
has the transformation of becoming alive and filled with so much emotion and feeling. Love

walk in San Diego – Ray at Night. Cirello Gallery is the cornerstone of Ray Street.
Matthew Cirello is inspired by life and all the repeating geometric patterns we see in nature
everyday; these shapes and patterns are called Sacred Geometry. When Cirello is creating it is
a truly transcending experience where the mind is clear and all love comes down and through
him from the divine. Creating art is the connection to the source of life – most high. The artist loses the ego and self and becomes a form of calm grace to serve all those around them. To be
an artist is to create for the love of seeing another person appreciate it and buy it for their home
because they know that piece will make them feel better every time you see it. Matthew Cirello
makes art to bring people together and spread the love he has for all life. Nothing makes him
happier than to see people loving and appreciating something he made. Know your culture –
Buy Art – Support your economy.
